About Bridge Community Care Homes, LLC
Our Story and Operations Director
Meet Care Messer, the Operations Director and CEO of Bridge Community Care Homes, LLC.
Care grew up volunteering with different rest homes and a state run home for children with disabilities. Connecting with these individuals opened up her heart with an understanding that we are not our age, nor are we defined by our disabilities.
In high school and college she worked for Danville Homes and Arc. Care worked at both coed and all male group homes. One of her favorite jobs was working as a Recreational Supervisor where she and the residents enjoyed dancing, bowling and hiking all over St. George Utah.
A few years later, Care's road to parenthood led her to becoming a foster parent, then adoptive parent and then birth parent. Her youngest daughter was born with multiple disabilities which kept her involved in the field of disability advocacy from that of a parent role.
Care has owned her own businesses, San Diego Hypnobirthing and Birth Education Center, Inc. since 2008 in field of childbirth education, doula training and parent advocacy. As her daughter has grown, Care knew the need for adult homes for people with disabilities in San Diego and that is how Bridge Community Care Homes came to be.

We are also in compliance with all State regulations and the Home and Community Based Services Final Rule.
The Final Rule requires that you can:
· Spend time in, and be a part of, your
community
· Work alongside people who do not have
disabilities
· Have choices regarding services and
supports, and who provides them
· Have control of your schedule and
activities
The Final Rule also requires that you have:
· Choice about your roommates
· Privacy in your room, including a lock on your door
· Control of your schedule and activities
· The ability to have visitors of your choosing, at any
time
· Freedom to furnish and decorate your room
· A lease or other legal agreement, protecting you
from eviction
